The University Summer Program is one of the most popular summer programs in western Canada. It creates indoor and outdoor learning environments for students, from age 7 to 17, that are carefully supervised, safe, challenging, and innovative. Vancouver is ranked the most livable city in the world with stunning natural scenery and famous sightseeing destinations. It is also a well-known multicultural city. It has a great variety of ethnic food, and a heritage of many immigrant communities. Travel Gallery ’s UBC summer program has been offered since 1992, and has become a “classic” program. It offers ideal summer program, combining study and recreation, for thousands of students. They learn English, explore Vancouver, and make life-long friend from around the world. Students also enjoy the various excursions, and overnight trips to Whistler and Victoria. ACTIVITES. Every week,an average of 15 hours is provided for the English class. Language skills covered include grammar, reading, writing, vocabulary, and conversation. After the placement test, classes are organized by age, English level, and a balanced mix of students from different countries. Our students learn, live, play, act, sing, socialize and travel in English throughout the summer. Outings have been carefully planned for students to experience Canada’s history, natural beauty, and culture. It also offers martial arts, fitness classes and different projects for students to learn English interactively. Students enjoy three nutritious meals a day prepared by the university food services, plus a snack every evening. There are also beach BBQs, picnics, and specialty cuisines during field trips. Students live in university residences, which have mainly single rooms. Facilities including student lounges, libraries, gyms, ice-rinks, playing fields, swimming pools, and club rooms are available to our students. Camp counsellors lead and supervise students during the evenings and weekends. On-campus activities includes projects required by teachers, personal growth and group development group development games, sports, music and cultural performances, parties and mini –Olympic games. Off-campus activities include hiking, watching fireworks, going to the theatre, joining various summer festival in Vancouver for souvenirs!
